Course Description
This course follows the AP curriculum guide for AP Physics C (Mechanics). AP Physics C is a calculus-based, college-level physics course. It covers kinematics; Newton's laws of motion; work, energy, and power; systems of particles and linear momentum; circular motion and rotations; oscillations and gravitation.
Prerequisites
AP Physics C: Mech is a second year physics course, so students must take AP Physics 1 as a prerequisite. It is also recommended that students taking this course should have taken or be concurrently taking Calculus.
About the Instructor
Dr. John Evans holds a PhD in Physics from UCLA, where he then worked as a research associate for 15 years. He has been teaching math, physics, and astronomy since 1988, and has worked at PSA for more than a decade.
