WELCOME FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

At any given time, you can find Prestige students hitting the buzzer at the science bowl, surveying U.S. train infrastructure for a research project, editing a fantasy manuscript, completing medical research internships at City of Hope, or competing in the Biology Olympiad under our principal's tutelage. Our students are great speakers, diligent scientists, passionate advocates for service work, and high achievers. This is because our students are elite, both in educational achievement and in their passion for helping the world. As Dr. Janet Jiang, our vice principal, says, "the universe is a place we live together," and we educate our students to be powerful global citizens. 

Prestige STEM Academy is a fully accredited hybrid (online/on-site) private school that serves both full and part-time students in both primary and secondary school. Our goal is to prepare our students for the future, not just as academic achievers, but as whole people, and our resources follow this logic. Our private school system is unique; we start our 5-year high school program in 8th grade with the Youth Pathfinders Program (YPP), which helps young students discover their passions and prepare for their future careers (See our Why Us page for more information about how we structure our program). We support our students in every area, from AP classes to student clubs. We are also partnered with Creative Odyssey, a nonprofit organization offering volunteer opportunities for our students, and the Cambridge Consultation Group, which prepares students for college admissions with elite college counseling.

Prestige STEM Academy embraces academic and personal excellence, wherein each student is treated as an individual and has the opportunity to strive and attain his or her best. Excellence is not a single standard held aloft, but rather something to be measured from within each member of the community and celebrated by all.

Students develop a strong moral base and ethical understanding as members of our principled learning community. They are encouraged to act with honesty, respect, and compassion. We believe in opening students' minds to the world's diversity and challenges and encouraging them to hunt for solutions. 

COMMUNITY

Close, meaningful student-faculty relationships is at the core of our philosophy, because students need to share their hardships and express their goals in order for their teachers to design programs to suit their needs. As a result, we have a strong sense of community, along with an understanding of the commitments and responsibilities such a community requires from each individual in order to thrive.

INDEPENDENCE

As students progress through our program, they are given increasing independence and responsibility for their own learning in order to foster intellectual curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Consequently, they have many opportunities to grow and thrive both as individuals and as leaders within the school community.

PERSPECTIVE

Academic and extracurricular programs encourage the broadening of student perspectives and provide an exposure to both the surrounding community and the wider world. Experiential learning opportunities form a healthy, challenging part of Prestige STEM Academy’s program.
