World History
Course Description
This class focuses mainly on world history through a macro lens. It tries to answer the questions of: how did nations develop the ways they did, what were the driving factors of nation state development, and how did interactions (both trade and war-like behaviors) decide the boundaries of current day nations? The course starts with the earliest recorded civilizations and extends to right before the Western nations industrialized, with a strong focus on Mediterranean, African, and Asian civilizations.
