Course Description
Building on the foundation established in Elementary Science 1, Elementary Science 2 continues the journey of scientific discovery for 5th and 6th graders. This course dives deeper into the fascinating world of science, expanding students' understanding through more complex concepts, advanced experiments, and comprehensive projects.
Elementary Science 2 aims to enhance critical thinking and analytical skills, encouraging students to explore, hypothesize, and draw conclusions about the natural world. With a focus on more detailed scientific principles and their applications, this course prepares students for further scientific study and nurtures a lifelong curiosity. Key topics include: advanced scientific method, human biology, geology and earth systems, energy and its forms, environmental science, and astronomy and space exploration.

About the Instructor
Candy Clough
Ms. Candy Clough is a retired public school teacher with 18 years of experience teaching young students. She was selected as a 2018 Teacher of America, and has consistently shown why she is deserving of this honor.
Ms. Candy Clough has been teaching with the Prestige STEM Academy team for the last year. During this time, she led the 2nd through 4th grade Language Arts classes and had glowing evaluations from parents the entire year. She continues to teach Language Arts to elementary and middle grade students, and is committed to providing the highest quality instruction possible to these young minds.
