AP Statistics
Course Description
AP Statistics is an introductory college-level statistics course designed to introduce students to fundamental concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. Students will develop an understanding of statistics through methods such as technology, survey research, problem-solving, and writing. They will explore concepts such as variability and distribution, patterns and uncertainty, as well as data-based prediction, decision-making, and inference.
This AP Statistics course covers all the content outlined in the AP course and exam description, while also incorporating external information from fields such as bioinformatics, quantitative finance, sociology, and more. This course aims to teach students how to apply statistics to solve real-world problems in various disciplines.
This course is accredited with the California A-G course approval, aligning with the curriculum standards of the University of California system, and is widely recognized by the majority of American universities.

Prerequisites
Students applying for this course must have completed a pre-calculus course or its equivalent at any accredited school, including Pre-Calculus at Prestige.
About the Instructor
Mr. Tam Nguyen holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from Cal State Long Beach and has worked teaching mathematics across colleges in Southern California. He has taught Math with PSA since 2022.
